Chrome uses too many resources for background windows and tabs..

#Chrome and chrome based browsers are great.

They are also secure, but that security comes with a high performance penalty. In essence each webpage / tab that is opened runs in in its own “virtualized” environment. These environments require cpu, memory and segmentation from other webpages.

If you are like me, this means that you can have anywhere between 10 – 100 chrome tabs open at any time.
